Growing Places Community School

Building a sustainable funding model

At Growing Places Community School, we believe that financial considerations should never be a barrier to learning. Our funding model is designed to be innovative, flexible, and sustainable, supporting our vision of a school that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and individuality in every child.

Growing Places Community School operates under the charity Growing Places Community Childcare Centres. As an independent school that is not governed by the Local Authority, we do not receive the public funding available to other state-funded educational establishments. Remaining independent allows us to stay true to our values and educational approach, while also ensuring that our school remains non-fee-paying and accessible to all children.

To make this possible, we draw on a combination of grants, sponsorships, and wider community support. This funding approach enables us to create a learning environment that is inclusive, collaborative, and responsive to the needs of our children and families. It allows us to invest in small class sizes, high-quality staff, and rich, engaging learning experiences, while maintaining long-term financial stability.

Partnering with families, funders, and the wider community strengthens a shared sense of purpose and collective investment in the school’s mission. Together, we are building a strong foundation for sustainable growth, meaningful relationships, and a thriving school community.
